Streets of Los Cabos - Les rues de Los Cabos

      A look around the streets of Cabo San Lucas, avoiding the touristy part of the city so genuine mexican... Un apercu des quartiers de Cabo San Lucas qui ne font pas partis du paysage touriste, un regard un peu plus réaliste donc...

les Collines - the Hills

       In the center of Los Cabos there is two nice big hills, giving a wonderful view on the city... so we went to check out the view one morning and it was quite a view indeed...
      En fait, on habite dans le centre de Los Cabos, et on a deux superbes collines pas loin, du coup on est allés voir la vue d'en haut, et on a pas été décus...

Un "Trip"...

      Allez, on bouge, c'est parti... On part, avec Majid, de Puerto Vallarta vers midi et nous voila sur la route pour un bon moment. Elle va etre longue, souvent bien droite, entourée d'un jolie paysage désertique, quelques arbustes tout sec mélangés a des cactus géants... La Bocho, bien sur, ne va pas tres vite, mais c'est pas grave, on est pas pressés...On passera quelques villes, Compostela, Tepic... On va traverser un paysage plein de manguiers, vraiment plein... Mais c'est surtout de la route, au milieu de nulle part... On s'arrete juste avant Mazatlan pour la nuit, on se prendra pas la tete et dormons dans la caisse juste pour quelques heures... On repart le lendemain a l'aube pour une nouvelle journée sur la route bien droite et bien seche... Mais le paysage change un petit peu, cela reste sec mais on a le spectacle de petits reliefs qui naissent tout autour de la route, des cactus encore plus gros, comme des arbres... On passe Culiacan dans la matinée, jolie ville mais un peu trop grande pour pouvoir essayer de se reposer... En fin d'aprem on arrive aux alentours de Los Mochis, direction le port de Topolobampo pour prendre notre ferry... On partira vers 23h pour une traversée qui durera toute la nuit... On arrive a l'aube encore une fois et comme d'hab, on ne perd pas de temps et direction le sud, direction Cabo San Lucas... Quelques presque 300 km plus tard, on arrive et on est bien content car ca déchire...

      Alright, you guys thought i forgot about you, no way... so let's see, i left Thursday with my mate Majid from Puerto Vallarta, around noon... We are moving to Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, and it's gonna be a long trip, especially a long drive but hey, we're not in a hurry... Leaving with the Magic Blue Bocho (1968 beetle) we're not gonna drive fast and the road is not our basic road, but that's what we love, don't we? Anyway, like i was saying a very long drive, but awesome trip, it's straight almost all the time, very dry around, little dead trees next to a tree-size cactus, very typical, loving it, "on the road in mexico"... We drive all day long until we start to reach Mazatlan and we stop in a sort of truck-parking just after nightfall... We leave at dawn and it's gonna be the same story, driving all day long in a straight beautiful mexican road... The ferry is leaving around 23h and we arrive at the port of Tolopobampo around 18h-19h, so plenty of time to chill a bit... A night on the ferry, and at dawn we are in sight of the coast... Quite excited to be almost there, especially after a long drive, we won't stop and we go back on the road straight off the boat... That's it, it's noon, and we arrive in Cabo San Lucas, and it looks damn good... loving it... next article is going to be about our place, nice...
